This study examines the duty of communication providers to proceed the provision of email services after termination of contract – either with payment or free of charge. In addition the study addresses the existence of an obligation imposed upon the Internet service providers to allow email address mobility, so that the customer may keep his address. To do so, the study reviews the regulation, and with the absence of such the practices de facto, in 11 states and with regard to 23 ISP’s in total. The study included: The United States of America, Canada, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Greece, Sweden, Ireland, Malta, England and India.
