Real Estate Value Under a New Urban Building Plan Approval: Calculating the Compensation Following an Expropriation

The study addresses the policy of compensation in cases of partial expropriation, and specifically the issues arising from the upgrade of the remaining land, as a result of it. The main question of this study deals with the right to reduce the profit gained as a result of the urban plan change, from the compensation to which the landowner is entitled due to the confiscation. The study reviews the practices of five states– the United States of America, Australia, England, Germany, and Spain relating to the standard compensation schemas.
