Regulation of the Profession of the Cosmetician: Comparative Study, November 2015
The study was conducted for a professional association of cosmetologists. The study examines the current regulations in the field of cosmetic professions in terms of licensing and regulation; Licensing and supervision of cosmetic training, including the duration of the training, the scope of supervision, and the nature of the required training (practical versus theoretical); As well as the supervision of preparations and instruments that cosmeticians are permitted to use.
The study reviewed the comparative regulation in the United States (Massachusetts; California) and European countries (Czech Republic; Austria).
