Regulation of the Cosmetic Professions: An International Review

This report provides information regarding the regulation of the cosmetic profession in three main aspects: licensing of the profession, licensing and supervision of the academic facilities operating in the field, and examination of the methods and tools cosmetologists are allowed to use. The study examined thoroughly four states, two American and two European: Massachusetts, California, the Czech Republic and Austria. Lastly, the study provides a broad general review of the regulation in this issue of all the states in the United States.
